CS1000E CPU-0 - System / Power light is RED

I discover tonight that we have a RED light on our CS1000E -

it's on CPU-0 Very Top Cabinet
System = RED
Power = RED

The system appears to be running fine - was able to swap CPU's - just not certain to the cause

Not too certain how to troubleshoot this issue - sure not very comfortable with a power cycle

any suggestion are appreciated

OK you have the original 1000E hardware. Your are not talking about the cpu led's. You are talking about the alarm/fan module leds. You need to read this document (Communication Server 1000E Maintenance). It tells you all about your unit and what the led mean. If it is working, based on the leds you mentioned the module is probably bad.

There is nothing wrong with your cpu's. The leds for them are on the faceplates.

You should always go the the maintenance manuals first when working a trouble. They are just chock full of information.
