Hello,

Hope someone can help, when are coming in from an external number to my office they can get my extension number directly by dialing 722 and my extension number. Right now it no longer works and the calls are redirected to the operator.

No IDC table is set up in any rout, can anyone have any ideas on how this could be set up and amybe how to print to see how the incoming calls should be routed.

Thanks

Can you make calls to and from your extension? This will make sure the correct number is active on your phone.

If calls are directed to your operator, they are obviously getting in from the Telco, so it points to an internal error, possibly someone changing this extension/ TN in error??

i can make call from my extension using 9 and whatever number i want to dial. If i trace the calls they go out on the PRI T1. But if i try call in directly to my extension it goes to the operator and that applies to all the extensions trying to dial in directly.

How do i print the DID list to see what extensions are mapped to which DID ?

I am pretty sure 722 would be a CDP entry (which is why you won't see it in IDC). Basically, it is an access code to tell the switch to route the next four digits internally (or however many you use). You probably had a DMI (Digit Manipulation Index) usually it would be set up to remove the 722 and dial the x number of digits. We use 688 and 5 here as access codes (at least for now).

If you print the TN the phone is connected to, is the correct extension programmed on it?

An easy way to determine if you have the right extension is to look at the display on another phone when you call it. Does it display the correct number?

If this is a PRI as you say turn on d-channel messaging and see what the telco is sending you. Sounds like someone changed something.

the telco provider strips the 1st three digits and sends us the last four digits.
No DMI is set. I did the DCH MSG at this is the out put 209 is my pri loop

Do you by any chance have a SAR, Scheduled Access Restriction, programmed in LD 88? I'm running out of ideas here. Was this ever working? Anything changed lately?

it was working up until the provider moved the T1 connection from copper to a fiber connection. No hardware was changed on my end and the provider assured me that the programming is still the same.

But since then i am experiencing no DID calls.

There is no SAR programmed

This would have been some good information to know in your first post.

I would get the telco to do some extensive testing with you, possibly with a tech on site so he can monitor what is coming over the circuit to you. They need to prove they are sending all the information you need to process the call in the PBX.
