Hi all,
Desperate times... ive search the other threads and came up with one solution that offered alternative button to open link...
but how do i create a button that opens the Folders window dialogue to enable me to select a file then store the path in my field that I can just click and my file opens.
I have a CDItemLink1 field on my form. I can right click, select hyperlink, edit and browse folders that way to add the hyperlink but I think that is too long winded especially for new users.
I found this and inserted as a new module that i lifted from another site!

Then I created a button ItemLink1but with its onlclick event being Me.CDItemLink1 = ahtCommonFileOpenSave. It opens the browser window and stores the display of the link but not the path, so when i click, it just takes me to my folders, but not the document? This is a v. hard one, so i don't expect much of a response, but if anyone can help, I can finnish this project.
