Hi,
We have a Mitel 3300 which we've recently integrated into Microsoft Lync 2007 via a dialogic media gateway. Our users are either on one system or the other but can call each other on their 4 digit extensions. The Mitel has all Lync users listed in ARS digits dialed, in order to route calls via route 21 (the Dialogic)

We have the ability to display any presentation number we'd like. I have created DID ranges for all of our Mitel extensions which work fine. However if a Lync user dials an external number it displays only their 4 digit extension, not their full DDI.

As the Lync users don't exist within the Mitel I can't add them to the CPN substitution form and although I can specify their extensions within the DID ranges for substitution this has no effect (and i've linked the indexes correctly)

I can't tell the dialogic box to pass the Mitel their full DDI number as it needs to receive just the 4 digit extension to understand that it's an internal call.

Any ideas?

What protocol is being used at what side?
Trunk calls(Public) are not going through the CPN sub table.

We use Euro ISDN for our PRI. Our Dialogic box is connected using Q.SIG (route 21 - configured as a TDM Trunk Group)

I was thinking of using digit modification on the dialogic trunk but I believe this will only affect calls outbound (ie too MS Lync) rather than inbound... and if it were inbound I wouldn't want to add the digits as I want the Lync callers to show their 4 digit extensions when they ring users homed on the Mitel.

Is there any way to tell calls that originate from the dialogic trunks to go through the CPN substitution table like the Mitel calls do?

In this setup the lync clients should be reqognized as users. If a lync client calls an IPphone , do you hear internal ring signal?

The Lync users are not setup as users within the Mitel. I just tried creating a user with a Lync extension but it wouldn't allow me to specify 'no device' as a user type.
I also tried adding a Lync user's extension as the 'desktop extension' under my user authorization profile. It allowed me to add this, but didn't treat the call any differently.

I don't quite understand what you mean about the internal ring? Ringing from a Lync client to a Mitel IP phone you hear the ringing signal but I think that's generated by Lync.

See example call trace below. The extension 7723 is passed into the Mitel with the 0800 number and just passed straight through.

The trace shows that the 3300 is connected to a PSTN connection based on Qsig. If you are able to change the Qsig settings so that 3300 is getting the calls as internat privat network calls the number sceme is four digit between the 3300 and the MS Lync.
If that is not an option then changing the link to ISDN would help. The 4.2 software was changed so that calls comming into the 3300 will be leaving on ISDN with the same credentials. Would this be an idea?
