Extension 5251 have this coverage path number(86). So when the attd receive a call and she transfer to 5251, the phone ring three times, then the call is route to 5262(his secretary) and if nobody is there, return in the mail box of 5251. It work well here.

But I've have another Definity System and I configured a phone of an executive with exactly the same functions and the call is not transfered in the mailbox if the first point don't answer. The call return to the attd. WHY???? I check the system features, COS, all is the same with both systems.

Can someone help me please.

Thx!

P.S Excuse my english, i'm french!!!

There is a default system timer that can over ride the coverage path if it is set to short.
on the console page, check the return call timeout.

The return call timeout is set to 60 sec.

But I experiencing the problem not only when the attd transfer a call. I tested it with my 6416 phone and the result is the same. It work well here, but in my other definity, the call don't go in the voicemail but return at the attd when the first cov point don't answer...

Thanks for your help!

Are you sharing voicemail systems between 2 definity's or do you have a seperate voicemail system at both locations?

If you find any mistakes, please consider that they are there for a purpose. And everyone needs a purpose.

No, I have two différent voice mail in each system...

Thanks for your help!!!

Hi Guys,

Finally, Bobg1 was right. The problem was the return call timeout. I set it to 60 seconds ands now it's ok.

Thx!!!

Spoutnik, glad to help. It is a very deceiving timer, du to the fact it is located on the console page and not in the system parameters.
