Hi,

I got a question from a customer. They want incoming external calls to a normal phone to be forwarded to a external extension. Internal calls to this phone should ring the phone and follow a 'normal' coverage path.

I got the first part working fine. An internal call will ring the phone and an external call forwards to mu cellphone (as a test). But the coverage for internal calls won't work!

In the main coverpath there's only a "y" in the external column behind the "All"-option. All other options are "n". In the "Next path number" I filled in a new coverpath.

The Avaya-guide says it will use the next path number if an incoming call won't match the criteria mentioned in the main coverpath. But I won't get it to work. The second coverage path is a standard coverpath with a cover to a helpdesk.

Can someone help me?

Regards,

The coverage path 320 should be set to yes on internal and no to external calls. If the call comes in from out side it will then look to your next linkage path and follow it. It should be set up for no on internal calls and yes fro external. That should get it going for you.

Mikey,

I've tried this and it worked! I think it's strange it has to be performed in this way. But hey, it works! Thanks very much!

It does seem that their could be an easier way, but this is how the switch-cover path wants it. It would be nice if these options were available on (1) coverage path form but at present it looks at what is NOT in the first path to send it to the second.

Glad that got you going.
