I have a customer on an IP406V2, Rel. 4.2 (17), that has the following problem. They have two sites connected together with an H.323 trunk. When the receptionist at either site is unavailable she forwards her station to the receptionist at the other site. If someone makes an internal call to the receptionist that has her phone forwarded, the other receptionist receives the call on both her desk phone and a cordless 3810 phone that has a coverage appearance of the desk phone programmed on it. However, if an outside caller calls the DID pointing to the forwarded phone, the receptionist phone that the original phone has been forwarded to rings, but the cordless phone with the coverage appearance does not ring.
This customer does not have a mobility or advanced SCN license. These licenses were not required when they were on 3.2 (59). Now they've been upgraded to 4.2 (17). So I realize licensing may be part of the problem, because I've seen other weird things happen since the upgrade. I'm just getting flustered because I don't know how to resolve these problems, nor do my distributors. They tell me that some of the advanced networking stuff that was working pre-upgrade wasn't supposed to work on 3.2 and the customer just got lucky. That doesn't make them feel any better. They're ticked off because stuff that used to work doesn't anymore.
Any ideas?
