I have a console 2250 which i try to forward a call to voicemail. The problem is when I try to forward the call it wont go through because it dials as a dial tone instead of touch tone. Is there a setting I need to program on the phone?

Add or use the EES key. This allows the console to pass DTMF tones to voicemail.

Hope this helps,

Scott M.

Add or use the EES key. , good catch scott, you can use that for menus or pagers that need dtmf after answer supervision..

I dont have that button on the console can you let me know how to program it?

Thanks

I believe in LD 12 you can add it :

Key XX EES

If not, you may need to add it in the CDB under ATT_DATA. It has been a while since I added a console or worked on them, so I apologize I don't have the exact process.

how do you view the to see how the console is currently setup?

nevermind i was able to printout the currently console setup. I see that all four of my consoles have KEY 09 EES. I need to figure out which is KEY 09 on a console.

If I rememeber my consoles, Key 9 would be a part of the rows to the right of the main ICI field. The center row of keys, above the volume control, are the main ICI keys, the next row to the right should start at 0 on the bottom and work their way up, then over. I could be wrong on this as well.

One way to figure it out would be to print out all the keys and see if you can find a labeled that matches what is configured. Then work your way back or forwards. (One thing I just thought of is see if you have a key on the console labeled TONES. That was a popular way to explain to operators what the key did.)

Hope this helps,

Scott M.
