My current G450 gateway has the PRI line connecting to it via an adtran device. It was left over from when there was an IP Office at this location and never was removed when the gateway was installed. I am trying to remove this out of the configuration now but I can't seem to get the PRI to come up after it is removed. I have the board programmed, hopefully correctly, and have tried a standard Cat 5 cable from the demarc to the board and have also tried the T1 crossover cable. Nothing will bring the line up until the adtran is back in place. I can't figure out what I am missing so I am hoping someone in this forum can help me out. Thank you!

Do you have CSU set to "integrated" on your DS1 form in CM?
Do you get a "link"/carrier light when you plug the device in?

Is the AdTran your hand off from the carrier, or is something else the hand off?

What version of CM?

Command: display ds1 xvx and post

you do not need adtrans, it may be converting PRI to robbed-bit or common-channel

mm710 has built in csu

You need a DS1 cable from mm710 to smart jack
This is not a Cat 5 or cross-over

I have CM 5.2, the AdTran is connected directly to the demarc and was used to split channels off for ISDN voice before we had the gateway. Where do you see the CSU on the form. The only field I have that comes close to this is Near-end CSU type. It is currently set to other but when I go to edit the form that field doesn't appear for editing.

It looks like everything is correct on the ds1 form. Is there something special I should be looking for in a DS1 cable? When I look online there are a multitude of options and I don't know which one I should be using.Thank you!

Step 1. Ask for help
Step 2. Answer questions so someone can help

If everything is correct, this would be working. Nuf said.

The cable pin outs should be the same from CM to IP Office. Do you have the config for the PRI as it was in the IP Office? If they previously broke out channels for ISDN, do you know what channels those were? What channel was the d-channel on the IP office. If they broke out channels for ISDN, the d-channel may not be 24 as in having all 24 channels terminating in CM.
