Hey need a little assistance on connecting our IP500 to our Corp S8500 VIA MPLS. I have VCM3s's in the IP500.
Thank you in advance.
Nick

You also need a networking license.

In the IP500, for the 8500 I would not know.

I'll search for a manual.

This doc might help you on the way.

Also make sure "Voice Networking" is unticked, and that there are shortcodes pointing to the CM over the IP line.
Also make sure you have the right Gateway address in the IProute. add it like so 0.0.0.0 | 0.0.0.0 | X.X.X.X (ROUTER ip)

It is relatively easy, just make sure you set the trunk on the 8500 side to overlap not en-bloc other than that there aren't any gotcha's, even user names get passed :)

just dont make your extns more than 4 digits on the IPO to match the 8500 if you plan to use CCC reporting, because CCC is restricted to 4 digit extns only.

Im not sure if CCR has this issue.

CCC is not an issue. thank you all for the reply's!

amriddle, what was the reason for the en-bloc? I set this up last night and got it working, but I don't believe I changed that setting.

That's only if you are UK/Eur as by default we use overlap dialling, as the system sends to line after the dial delay count (4 digits here) if you are dialling out on the ACM/Definity's lines it will not wait for the extra digits and will give incompatibe/dis tone back as the 4 digits it recieved does not match an internal number, if you are only dialling 4 digits and not using the trunks that side you are fine :)
