I can receive faxes into the server from internal or DID. I can fax out if I build the route as DID, but with DID I can not go trunk to trunk to actually get to the PSTN. I haven't been in the field for a while and have not had to setup a CBC route before. From what I see the only options for the outbound faxes are DID or COT with the CBCT. With the DID I can fax to an internal extension. With the COT the call always goes to the attendant. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The RightFax Board is a TR1034 8 port T1

Thanks again.

Two thoughts (guesses):

That is a brooktrout TR1034 fax board.

If I understand you correctly, you want to use the DID's that come into your PBX and route them via CDP to your TIE route that is connected to your RightFax server.

You will need to build a Wink Start DTI TIE route and trunks on the PBX then connect to the Rightfax server.

Thank you both for replying. I can't change the starting/stopping arrangement being that it is a CBC route (as far as I am aware anyway, it can't be chaged in ld 14 even when they are first built)and changing the TGAR on the trunk did not make a difference either.

The problem is not receving the faxes, I can dial into a system DID and CDP it to the fax to the server over the TIE above and the server receives them perfect and I did try a DTI TIE, but the server did not see the dialed digits and did not know what mailbox to send the fax to.

Thanks

I have a feeling if you be more concise about what does and what does not work, you will get more answers here. It takes quite a few re-reads to tell where you are on this, and that last post didn't help.

Right now I have a number that comes in on my local DID PRIs setup as a DSC which points to route 30 (the TIE route) which uses the trunks associated with route 31 (the Call by Call Master route). This works, the call get to the proper mailbox on the fax server.

From the fax server out, the call seems to go nowhere. This uses route 32 (IPUB on the CBC Master). Both 30 and 32 are setup as service routes in the CBC route.

Below is a print out of my common equipment, loop 25 is for the fax server and a trace of a failed call out from the fax server, I am curious about the err9017, I have never seen it before and there is not a good explanation in the NTP's:
