OK...here's where I stand.
What happened:
Our SBS 2003 server took a dump. Wasn't pretty. We had been planning on moving to a Windows Server 2003 based domain, so this became the moment of execution. I installed the new servers with no issues.
I now have a seperate server for SQL so I installed sharepoint using the ServerFarm method. The default site looks good and everyone has access now. I then restored the contents database and added it through site administration. It shows that there are 2 sites in the contents database.
My problem is that I can't seem to figure out how to get the sites to show up. I've read over countless pages on MS's and other sites and I think I'm just having a brain fart. Can someone please point me in the right direction???
Thanks
