Is it possible to set up a Conference Bridge on the 3300 MCD 4.0?

there is a relatively inexpensive application called Quick Conference.

I have not seen it in MCD 4.0. I use Asterisk MeetMe application and interconnect it with MITEL over SIP trunks. Confirmed to work good for up to 12 uncompressed (G.711) calls.

Thanks, I guess the down and dirty way to get around this since the conference call is internal parties is to use the meet me page. Then I will explore the Quick Conference. Thanks for the replies!

Meet me page is useless for conferencing. Its purpose is to connect 2 parties not more than that.

Slapin was refering to a 3rd party application on a server running Linux.

The 3300 is capable of creating up to 8 parties in a conference but the conference has to be setup from an internal phone.

There is a method by which you can trick the system into creating a conference by dialing into a DID. There is a FAQ on the subject.

We use quick conference and our 3300 is on MCD4 - works fine no problems at all

Sorry, I confused everybody again :) I was reffering to Asterisk PBX open source application which could be installed on a separate server running Linux. It also available in form of LiveCD which can be booted without installation.

If all parties in the conference call are going to be internal, can't I use meet me answer? It says I can have up to 64 members in the group. We are looking into the Quick Conference for future plans.

Wacker43, I think it would be best if you just read the help files regarding the conferencing and Meet Me features. I don't mind telling people how to get things to work, but I draw the line at explaining why it won't. The manual rarely tells you when things won't work, you will just have to discover for yourself if you won't take my word for it.

Easy KWB.... not asking for you to explain why it wont work...I will test it and if it works I will let you know...I do appreciate your input on recent and past posts.

No offense intended,

Did you read the FAQ I sent earlier, it will work.
