We have a 2 node cluster that we want to uncluster. I've read about evicting nodes and I understand how to completely remove clustering from both nodes. What I need to know is, when clustering is removed and shut off, will I still have local access on the "owning" server to the resources?
We have only have one resource, which is a drive that holds files. When clustering is shut off I need one of the servers to still have access to these files. I want to be sure that by removing clustering it does not also destroy the resource. So, right now node 1 has a drive L: which is all the files. When clustering is removed, will node 1 (now an independent server) still have a drive L: with all of the files? Thank you.
