Hi there,
I have a big ACM 2.2 system here which was just upgraded from Definity G3R. The system comprises of:
2 x S8710
2 x Control Networks, Cajun (A&B)
1 x Centre Stage Switch (CSS)
22 x port networks in old MCC cabinets
2 x IPSI per port network, 44 IPSI's in total (connected to A&B control networks)
The system has multiple paths & components to choose for call control data. It can use control network A, control network B, the centre stage switch. Also with IPSI functionality a single IPSI can control multiple port networks, however we chose to make the system as fully redundant as possible and put 2 IPSI in each port network.
My questions are as follow:
How can I tell which data control channel is being used for each port network? Also how can I tell which IPSI card (if appropriate) is controlling each port network?
In a partial system failure situation I would need to know this information to make informed decisions relating to restoring the full service again.
Thanks for your help.
