Hi

I need to add a command button to a tabular subform.

Item No. Part Description Cost Command Button

When the user clicks on the command button it will open a form that is linked based on the item no. This will then display item information.

Is this possible and if so any ideas how to achieve it.

Kind Regards

Neil.

Have you thought about double click on the record selector?

You can only grab details relating to the current record, the relevant record needs to have been selected before any button on a parent form can get any information.

If you created a continuous form, you would have a button against each record, which IMO looks ugly.

If you used the form double click event, then Me.ItemNo is always the relevant record and can then easily be used in the form open command as either a filter or OpenArgs value.
