I have a baystack 450-24t wiht a fiber gbic. When the gbic is connected to my cisco gbic, I am not able to pull an IP address from my DHCP server. I have a feeling that VLAN's are installed on the baystack switch.
The problem is, when I TRY to connect to me baystack, I am not able to see anything in the hyperterminal windows. I am using both hyperterminal and terraterm pro. Niether work. I am not using a null modem cable. I am using a standard serial cable with a gender bender on one end.
Is there anyone out there who can help me? I would like to gain access to the config stuff through the comm port, but if there is any other way to do a hardware reset on it (via jumper or anything else) that would be much appreciated.
Thanks
