Combo Box ?

I have a combo box which looks up records when either selected or manually keyed in. I was shown today that if you type in an item number that has already been selected (visible in the field) it goes to an entirely differant record.
Example, you type in gss0110a, and you are going down a report and type the same on top of it, it will pull up something eroneous like gba0234a.
Any ideas?

try to use the code behind the combobox in "OnExit" event.

i did not understood "...down a REPORT//" DO YOU MEAN "Form"?

By down a report (poor choice of words) I meant if you have a hard copy excel list in front of you and are following a long column of records, if the cursor is still on the unbound combo box look up, and accidently re-key the same number, it will jump to an entirely differant record.
