Hi Guys

Hopefully a simple one for you! Is there a CMS report for listing all calls to a VDN which will show both the time of the call and the originating number? (The number will only ever be an internal extension). I need to see each call listed individually, rather than a summary of all calls

Cheers

Simple answer is no, there is not a report thar would show this. You could try turing on tracing to look at this or use your CDR system to look at it. Since you said it was only internal numbers make sure you modify your cdr to capture internal calls.

Nothing that can be done in Designer or Custom reporting then?

Do you have any type of CDR (call detail record) server in place? This would be able to give you the information you need. CMS will only give you aggregate information.

Thanks for the responses guys. No CDR server. Had a look at System-Parameters CDR, no page 2, so nothing being captured

Is there a particular software I need for a CDR server?

The CMS server has a VERY limited CDR type of function. It has to be configured in the Data Storage Allocation table.

I use eCAS from a company called Veramark to capture, store, and run reports on the CDR information. I don't remember the cost, but it is very user friendly and easy to set up. There are other companies that might provide a cheaper solution but I only have experience with eCAS.

I just did a little bit of research and see that a lot of people are pretty happy with TAPIT EX for their call accounting solution. They might be a bit cheaper that eCAS. You can find their products at . I have no familiarity with their products but see a bunch of people posting positive reviews and recommendations.

You could capture this information with the External Call History in CMS if it's installed on your system.

Thanks for all the responses guys. I'm currently trialling software called TIMPlus from Tri-Line. Seems like it does what I need and is quite simple to set up and use. Good support too
