I have a cm with 5.2 software, my customer wants their 1608 and 1616 sets encrypted. Is this possible with the age of the software release on the cm and the age of the 1600 series phones?

What exactly do they want to be encrypted ??? if its the voice packets this can be done natively on the system via codec set NR

Monty, do the 1600s support any encryption though? I thought Avaya always had 2 firmware packs for each release - one that does and one that doesn't do encryption. Considering the 1600s don't have that, I don't think the 1600s would support SRTP at all regardless of what's in the codec set. I could be wrong...

They are wanting SRTP on the 1608-I and 1616-I sets.
