the S8300B runs CM 5.2 just fine, but, only in "standard" memory model, it will not support "large" memory model, so it cannot be an LSP of an S8730 running CM 5.2, which only supports "large" memory model.
A standalone S8300B works fine for CM 5.2, I have it loaded on several of them already.
Yes, no problem evoguy. we have several setup that way.
eventually, the S8300B will have to be replaced with an S8300C (or the newer S8300D now), probably by CM 6 or beyond, they have not announced anything yet. for now the S8300B works, so why spend money upgrading it now, when it's not needed.
Can I jump in on this - is there a specific path to go from CM2 to CM5 - do you have to go to 3 or 4 first ?
I'm doing one which is an S8300B on CM2.2 going to CM5.x, this will then be the main system with an S8300/G450 running as an LSP off it - will this work okay?
