I have a UDT with a clock card and the CC light blinks fast but i'm not seeing any errors in the system or on the counters. Any ideas why it blinks fast?

I should say its a Nortel 1000e and we are using an OPT 11 cabinet as a gateway whit several UDT cards.

Usually blinking means its not locked to a source. LD 60

It shows to be tracking on the loop that has the blinking green light.

Disable the clock and enable it, I have seen this before. You may actually have to disable the card and re seat it.

I did disable and enable the clocks at one point and will reseat the UDT when they will let me. Thanks

Yep we had an issue where our secondary core was trying to take over clocking of the primary so all of our clock controllers were flashing green for about 7 blinks and then would go solid. Everytime I could catch them flashing it would say free run/tracking. I reported this and the vendor told me to 'Stop watching the lights and go watch TV' - needless to say they no longer install/maintain systems ... I could give you a hint on who but I don't think it is allowed - haha

But yes, your issue is definitely related to tracking ...

Hi,

Just make sure you have the latest loadware installed on the UDT card. There are a lot of fixes during the last 2 years on those cards, and new cards are shipped with older loadwares.

(it has to be enabled)

The latest loadware should be udtcab17 I think.
