CLI on outgoing SIP Calls

Does anybody know how to get the outgoing CLI presented on a call made out via a sip trunk.

Set the Local URI to "USER DATA" and then set the SIP Name in the User tab for the CLI.

It will have to be allowed by your ITSP

Or prog the sip number into the local URI field in the SIP trunk.

Looks like an issue with my ITSP, if I set local URI to anything but "Use Authentication Name" the call is rejected by my ITSP.

Using voiceflex, anybody else using them and got around this problem?

Work with Richard at Voiceflex support. I'm sure with a little playing it can be sorted.

SIP is a pain in the arse. ISDN is SO much easier.

I haven't played with CLI and Voiceflex but have got it sorking with another provider.

SIP is a pain in the arris, but as time goes on it will become easier as you get to grips with it a bit more.

One of my resellers has installed a SIP only site, loads of channels and numbers to rival a fairly hefty PRI circuit.

It seems to work well so far. At the moment im touching wood and he is nearly touching cloth in his undies but it looks good so far.

We have installed a SIP only site. 8 trunks and 20 DDI's. Works ok. Only problem we have is porting thier C&W numbers from the old PRI circuit. Nobody seems to be able to port C&W numbers!!!!!

With regards to C&W can you not port to BT first then onto your ITSP.

Pian but may get you there in the end

The numbers are on a BT PRI now. Bt won't even move them as they are moving to a different exchange area!!!!

Every Provider we try (SIP and ISDN) either hit a brick wall with the port or want silly money to install ISDN.
