I have set up public-unknown-numbering, which shows each stations DDI on outgoing calls, but if I use call forward, it then shows the main number instead of the DDI on forwarded calls???
I think that it's because when you use Call Forwarding Off-Net, the call is now coming from the trunk and not the station. Just a guess.
You could create an x-port station with a remote coverage path, call forward to the x-port, and see what your caller ID is. Since I do not allow Call Forwarding Off-Net, this is one method I use to route calls off my network.
Susan You can have it all. You just can't have it all at once.
If you do a list tra sta, you will see that the outbound call is set up using the received incoming CLI. All UK providers will deny this and so substitute the main bearer number. (you can enter an agreement with your carrier to release this restriction)
The tandem calls table would allow you to alter the CLI for these calls, but it does't allow you to set it ona per extension basis, which is what you would need. You also need to set the Allow Tandem call modification to y in the trunk groups
As I say, this is in the UK and with ISDN bearers!

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.
