CID on MICS

Yesterday, I replaced three DS cards with CID cards in a MICS; running 7.0 software. I reprogrammed the C.O lines (and telephones) to display Caller ID; with "NAMES" to display first. Additionally, I set up Call Logging (with Auto-bumping "ON") on all the telephones, and gave each station some call log space... and set the stations to "LOG ALL CALLS". The call logging works (Caller ID info, time/date, answering station, etc) is displayed correctly, but the sets will not display the caller ID information on an incoming call (even after several rings). I have re-checked all the programming areas that I'm aware of, and they all seem to be set correctly. So I'm not sure where to go to from here. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.

Are the sets programmed to ring like reception? if not they need to use F811...see if that works.

Thanks for the response Curley Cord. I thought this might be a problem, so I programmed all the lines to appear and ring on a station..... still no CID. I tried F811 on an incoming (ringing) line, and the response was "Select a Line". I don't understand this failure either. But what's really confusing (to me) is that even though no Caller ID is displaying, the information is being collected and recorded in Call Logging. I set a Call Log button on all the stations, and although it seems to take a long time between answering an incoming call and seeing the "new" indicator on the button, the CID info will eventually appear. Again.... any further thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Sorry for the delay Curley Cord.... had to take care of something else. However, to answer your question, I programmed each stations lines (under Telco/Feature Assign) to "Caller ID = YES".

Curley Cord... I did some more testing into the CID issue that we've been discussing and here's what I've determined thus far:
a. C.O line 002 (in this particular group of telephones) DOES CID correctly on the PRIME station, where the lines are set to Appear and Ring. You must let the phone ring at least twice before you answer.
Lines 001 & 003 would not show CID info on ANY set, but I can see no reason why CID would work on one line but not on the other lines; on the same new trunk card. Therefore I'm assuming (yes... DANGEROUS I know!!) that CID service simply did not get purchased for all of the trunks. If I cannot verify this with the LEC, I'll check it myself the next time I'm on-site. But my money's on the "missing" service.
b. If you transfer Line 002 from a ringing station, the CID info transfers with the call (even if the station's lines are not set to APPEAR AND RING). Actually, if you answer the call from a non-ringing station, and transfer it, the CID info transfers to the ringing station. I'm assuming again (yes again ... DANGEROUS I know!!) that the CID is appearing because the call is now ringing on a station.
c. The CID info, where it's working correctly, will display BEFORE you answer the call on any Ringing station. Which leads me to a question...
Another group of telephones on the same system have four different C.O lines, and these lines will soon have CID service. This group's calls are answered by a Call Pilot (Auto-Attendant). I've set the lines into the Call Pilot to ring twice before answering. So... when the Call Pilot answers, and then transfers the call, will the CID info transfer to the ringing station?
As always, thank you for taking the time to answer questions on this forum.

The Caller ID is sent between first and second ring from the carrier is why you need to wait 2 rings (or have AA set to 2 rings instead of 0).

" I programmed all the lines to appear and ring on a station..... still no CID. I tried F811 on an incoming (ringing) line, and the response was "Select a Line""

On F811 you need to select the line that is flashing if the set has lines as "Appear Only" or if you did not program Telco feature Assign Caller ID to = Yes
Double check that programming but my thinking is if lines are Appear & Ring then F811 would not ask for line selection, instead it may just display as Line 00X if also CLID is set to = N.

With your test set listen for the data transmission between the first and second ring.
Frog line 2 and 3 to test too.

B" kind of answers "A". If the info appears when the call gets transferred, tghen yes, they have subscribed to CLID.
