We have a very simple setup here. BCM 50 8 Lines. Right now when a user is on the intercom and press 9 to have it access one of the 8 lines, it starts from line 8(069) and moves backward depending on line availability. How can I control this seeking order? I really just want it to never pickup line 1 or 8 unless it is a last resort. But I still want all sets to have access to this line when needed.

If the lines are not on the phones, then just move Lines 8 and 1 out of the pool. Nortel always goes bottom to top, inbound is top to bottom.

Okay, Quick fix worked. (I guess we can't designate the order then through software?)

Is there anything else this will now effect from moving line 8 into pool:B ?

Appreciate the help and fast response!

You can only remove from the active pool and can not change order. The only way to change order is move lines on the punch block. Since you took 8 out of pool a , B is not being used so * will never get used unless your incoming and out going calls take up all your line from 1-7.

You could put lines 1 and 8 in a different pool so the users just dial that pool code if all other lines are busy. Or just repunch line 8 where line 2 is and 1 and 8 will be the last two chosen.
