I finally got a motherboard ( ASUS A7V ) that lets me go to 4X AGP rather than 1X like my older Asus board. I am wondering if there is a way to verify in Windows if 4X AGP is enabled? (yes I am using the latest VIA drivers (4.24).
Thanks in advance =)

YIPPEEE... I got it working in 4X now!!! Below is the steps I took.

1. rebooted puter set AGP to 1X in bios ("normal" not "optimal" setting in my bios)

2. Downloaded Geforcetweak 0.71 at: (direct link to file is here: )

3. Unzipped and ran Geforce Tweak program

4. In program clicked enable 4X (there are alot of goodies in that program =)

5. rebooted and again enabled 4X AGP in BIOS

5. Worla... checked in Powerstrip program and did see that I was infact at 4X AGP!!!

I ran 4 different programs (games) that used either D3D and OpenGL and all went well.

I ran Sisoft Sara and it gave me better performance ratings then before I was able to run 4X and yes, it did now say that my vid card was 4x capable now!!! before was only 1x and 2x.

OOPS.. I typed Sisoft Sara and not Sandra LOL.. Sara is the MP3 I was listening too "fleetwood Mac" =)

So far so good. I have benchmarked, ran Q3, Unreal Tournement, and other D3D and OpenGL games all at high resolutions/settings, I have had numerous programs running at once ( Internet Explorer, Photoshop 5.5, Outlook Express, a large PowerPoint Presentation and while those were running in background also played a level of Quake3) FPS in game during all that was 38 =)

I hope it works for al of you
