i added a check box to my form to check off when a job is completed. i want the data that shows in the table to be a 1 for checked and a 0 for not checked. right now it comes out as a negative or a positive 1. any thoughts?

Why not give the table field a YES/NO data type?

Why make it simple and efficient when it can be complex and wonderful?

can that be seporated clearly in a report. i just want the data to be able to report clearly that a job is done or isn't i really don't care how, but i have to be able to sort it in the report

Assume, for some reason, you do not want the default 0 & -1 or True/False, Yes/No, etc.

If that is the case, perhaps create a new field (Completed) and then, on the OnUpdate Event of the checkbox field: me.Completed.Value = 1.
