I have created a chart and the legend is using the term "Sumof....". I would like to change this to just the data field name and delete "Sumof".

I tried doing this in the datasheet associated with the graph but it just reverts back.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Thanks!!

The "Sumof..." probably is coming from your underlying query. Edit the query and give each field you are summing an alias. That will suppress the automatically created "Sumof..." field names, replacing them with your alias.

NEVER MIND! What I suggested won't work. I'll keep looking

I figured it out. It is similar to what I first proposed but tailored for the problem of the chart object:
Go to the properties of the chart object and look at the row source.

SELECT (Format([ThisDate],"MMM 'YY")),Sum([Dollars]) AS [SumOfDollars] FROM [GraphData]
GROUP BY (Year([ThisDate])*12 + Month([ThisDate])-1),(Format([ThisDate],"MMM 'YY"));

Change the [SumOfDollars] to the label you want to see.

That worked. Thanks so much!
