Please help me with the Extended Call Forwarding.
Everything works until I dial the last digit of the new 12-digit forward-to number (9+1+area code+ 7-digit number). Right after I dial the last digit, I get a busy signal.
Below is what I found in the Avaya documentation.
Am I missing any steps in procedure 8?
Changing the forwarding destination when a user is at an off-network location:
1. Go off hook.
2. Dial the telecommuting extension number.
3. Dial the FAC for Extended Call Forward Activate All feature or press their Call Forwarding
Activation All feature button.
4. Listen for a dial tone.
5. Dial the extension number and press the pound key (#) key.
6. Dial the security code and press the pound (#) key.
7. Listen for a dial tone.
8. Dial the extension of the destination.
Use no more than 18 digits when you enter your off-network call forwarding destination
telephone number. You must include the FAC for the Trunk Access Code (TAC) or
Automatic Alternate Routing (AAR) or Automatic Route Selection (ARS) among the 18
digits. Do not include the pound key (#) that you use to terminate a forwarded-to number
among the 18 digits. For more information on the AAR and ARS features, see the
Administrator Guide for Avaya Communication Manager.
9. Hang up the telephone after you hear the three-beep tone that the system generates to
confirm the change
