Hello to all,

hope you doing well , it an emergency question , i want to ask about the consequences when migrating SMGR to another Server (Esxi host , creating new VM and restore data from the previous server). i know that the licenses need to be re-hosted , i have a doubt about the trusted certif between SMGR - CM (duplicated) and SMGR - SM (duplicated). the certificats need to be regenerate due the change of the server or all is good after the migration?

we are using SMGR 7.1.3.1

Assuming Certificates are not expired to begin with then migrating to a new ESXi Host will restore/use the original certificates.

We did one as the SMGR (8.0) server was delivered a few weeks after the CM so we put the SMGR VM on one of the servers we were using for the CM Duplex and then moved it once the hardware arrived. As Jimbo says backup and restore, and as you say re-host the license in PLDS, worked fine for me.
