Hello,

I currently have a block of numbers (123) 456-7800 to 7899.
I am running IP Office.

I want to split up the caller ID for the last twenty (7880-7899). In order to do so, my network/PRI provider is saying that I need to make changes in the PBX... Trying to contact my phone vendor has proved almost impossible (my provider wants them to make the changes).

Does anyone have any helpful input on how to handle this change myself?
Thanks so much

Someone posted the shortcode a few pages back... but I had to contact my provider to allow different ID's to be shown. They had to do it per PRI not by DID's so I had to enter the shortcode defining what number to show for each extension because it would show each extension number if you called out. That may be what you want though, I have different stores using the same PRI's so I wanted each store to show their own main DID.

By default it will show that extensions indial number if it has one assigned in the Incoming call routes.

Otherwise you control it with shortcodes of whatever flavour (system, user, etc) depending on who and how you want to send numbers out, as long as your carrier allows the number on the circuit.

Adding S<Number to be sent> to the telephone field of a shortcode will send totally custom number, <first few digits of number>E will add the extension number of the handset to the caller id.
