Change IP of VAL board

Has anyone ever changed the IP address of their VAL board? Does this affect the announcements in any way? These boards can be quirky sometimes, and I don't want to lose anything.

I have changed mine a couple of times with no ill effects to the announcements. Go ahead and make your changes.

Question. I just got my VAL board and it was bad. So I got a rma to replace it. I found out that the VAL board has been discontinued. They now have the VAL board and Software for the VAL board seperated....is this true?

Avaya just told me that when you turn the VAL board off via the ip-interfaces that this kills the whole board. Contrary to what was posted above. Has anyone had any live experience with this?
