I have a Nortel system and I am trying to remember the change sequence so I can change the numbers in the system.

I currently have:

DCNO 0
IDGT CDGT
1600 2400

I want:

DCNO 0
IDGT CDGT
1600 6200

I was walked through making a change a while back from a Nortel guy and I am trying to remember what we did, can someone help?

the sequence went something like this, please tell me if I am wrong, I will need to know EXACTLY what to do, any help is appreciated:

Change to CAPS
Login:

PASS:

REQ:
CHG

TYPE:
IDC

CUST:
0

Not sure what the prompt was here:
DC0

Not sure what I saw here:
1600

1600 6200

<shift> ****
LOGO

Does that all look correct with the prompts I will se as well?

thanks for the reply.

Just so it is clear:
REQ chg
TYPE idc
CUST 0
DCNO 0
IDGT 0102 (return)

0102 (enter new number here)

I type in this:
CHG

and will see this?:
TYPE

and at TYPE I enter:
IDC

and will see what?
This:
CUST

and then enter 0?

if so, when I enter 0, what will I see, will I see:
DCNO

And once I have made the changes to that DCNO number, how do I movve to a different DCNO number?

And, how would I print out the entire DCNO list with all of the digits and their change digit?

Thanks

yes dcno, waiting for you to pick which one. you not changing the dcno number, you are changing which DNIS points to which CDN, or whatever number you want it to inside that dcno group. you can doit, not hard.

best thing to do is go to ld 49 and do a prt to find out what dcno list your DNIS is on:

REQ PRT
TYPE IDC
CUST 0
DCNO <ENTER>

This will print all DCNO lists with thier IDC Changes.

Then update the list you need to change.

REQ CHG
TYPE IDC
CUST 0
DCNO (your DCNO number)
IDGT 1600

1600 6200
IDGT <ENTER>

Your done...

Sorry, but I do not know what I am doing with this,

I have the print out of all the DCNO lists.

I am just not sure EXACTLY what I will input and what promts I will see.

Once I have made the change:
IDGT 1600
1600 6200

What will I see here, and what do I do to step to the next number I want to change?

And how do I step to the next DCNO numer to change the IDGT in that DCNO?

HOw would I step through the process to got to ID 49?

All right. POST your prt from ld 49. POINT out which DNIS (IDGT) you want to chg WHAT IS POINTED TO IT.

See print again...
REQ CHG
TYPE IDC
CUST 0
DCNO (your DCNO number)
IDGT 1600

1600 6200
IDGT <ENTER>

You see where I've told you to just hit enter above?
Enter says that you are done making changes to that list.
Optionally you could put in your next IDGT to change.

To change to a new list, you would have to hit enter and start again with:

REQ CHG
TYPE IDC
CUST 0
DCNO (The next list you want to change)

If you are still having problems email me directly and I'll give you my personal number to call... it's a slow day at work today...

Wow,

You guys are great.

Thanks Thomas, I really appreciate that offer.

It will be a couple of days before I have to change anything , I just wanted to document what was needed before hand and I couldn't remember the prompts and how to move to the different DCNO numbers.

There are several DCNOs configured, I understand what I am changing.

I made the original change while a Nortel guy stepped me through it on the phone.

But this is the company phone system and these numbers are critical inbound commerce numbers.

Thousands of calls a minute are coming in on the numbers I am changing and if I mess it up, it's CURTAINS.

So this is the reason for the nervousness on what I will be doing.

The main thing is I do not remmeber the promts.

Thomas,

Can you show me how I would print out the DCNO list and all the numbers?

It seems I went through entering ID 49 somewhere.

Thanks,

How do I get out of the system gracefully?

get out with four stars
**** <-- take you out of the load back to .prompt
and the logout with

yep really slow day...
Got my trouble log completely cleared out and nothing new coming in...
and damn the day is only half done.

Many thanx to all you guys.

TAnselm, Thomas, without your help I would have never been able to do this.
