We currently have 9 TN754 4 Wire Digital boards in our system and we want to switch a couple of them out with TN2224 2 Wire Digital boards (we currently have 4 of these card currently installed). \

My question is, do we have to do anything special to swap some of these out and can you "Hot Swap" them out?

Thanks in advance!
Brian

You have to remove the translations that are currently on them. Basically x-port the existing stations. Secondly, you'll have to rewire the ports as well. And lastly, ensure you're using single pair digital phones... 84xx, 64xx, 24xx,etc...

Thanks,

Thank you. The old 4 wire boards are not being used for any stations. We are currently using all 2420's and have run out of the 2 wire ports.

Do you have to take the system down to swap them out or can you just unplug and plug?

You can remove/add without powering anything off... Just be sure when you type list conf station that the ports don't have anything assigned to them. Then simply unseat it, and reseat your new 2224.

Thanks,
