Until today I have never heard of a netcon.
One of the IS guys called and said that he needed a modem to be working on an in and out basis that has always been out only. Turns out the extension numbers are in house only.
No trouble I thought, just re-assign to a did number.
Now I have heard of a netcon What to do???
2900 to 2999 is not in the DID pool 4691 is.

You don't need to be messing around with the Netcons to change a simple modem.

1. Display the station for the modem, note what port it's on.

2. Change it to an x-port.

3. Duplicate the modem station, assign a DID number, put in the port of the original station.

4. Remove the old station.

Now it's on a DID number, so it should be two-way (unless it's restricted in the COR).

Well that's kind of the problem.
When I "disp sta 2901" it says "extensionexists but assigned to another object.
Thanks for your help.

Take an analog set to the modem and call a nearby internal display phone. I'd bet the IS guy as the extension wrong....

Sometimes big problems are little ones in disguise.
I paniced at that Netcon thing, but you were right he gave me the wrong number.
I guess netcon will have to wait it's turn.
Thanks for pulling my head out.
