We are merging legacy/standalone locations to a centralized platform this year. We already have 6 locations on it. Our CDR output is into one file so calls are all mixed together (we use a proprietary setup). If someone needs to search for calls on a specific extension, they just enter a date range and that extension. Apparently this is causing some angst because it allows access for multiple people to review anyone's call patterns. So, I am posting this to see what everyone else it doing out there? Are you using Microcall to segregate locations or some other program? I don't see how the PBX can do this...it just spits out the data.

Hi demanding,

Have you tried looking at a 3rd party solution that allows you to separate the information after processing? The company I work for (Tri-Line) does this using TIM Enterprise's directory so you can create different sites/departments/groups and restrict access to being only able to report on calls within your scope.

If you want more information about how the directory works on TIM Enterprise, take a look at:

You can have a free trial if you want to test and see this working! No point in doing a heavy sell...as you know the proof of the pudding is in the eating :)

Other call packages you could try are Oak, and Proteus but I have no experience with what they can do for you.

Best regards,
Andy
