Hello all, I'm new to the forum--
Several days ago I turned on my computer to find that my CD-Rom drives are no longer being recognized. I'm not sure what happened, as just the day before, if not the same day, I was using them just fine. I have a compaq 40x cd-rom and a polaroid burnmax 32 cd-rw. In device manager I get this:
Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)
I tried reseating them, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, letting them be detected, all that--to no avail. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Nathan
