We have a norstar Phone System MICS 4.1 S/W WI 0604
With a Call Pilot 150 Mini

everything was working fine untill somone tried to update one of the info "nodes" in the CCR Tree then when you would click in the web interface to edit the CCR tree you would see "!@#$CcrNodeListing$#@!" in the menu and it would not display the CCR Tree Menu Like it should.

Durring This time the auto atendant would play the gretting but would not play the CCR TREE.

After Rebooting the Phone system and Call Pilot I can get into the CCR Tree to edit it but it still will not play when you call the main number I can assighn a second older CCR TREE to the menu and it will play but not the one we had been using

Does anyone have anythoughts about what is going on here and how to fix it or atleast prevent it from happing in the future?

Thank You
JAYDH

Have you checked to make sure this tree is "enabled" and if it is it may not be assigned to the correct greeting yet.

CCR tree # 1 with greeting #1
CCR tree # 2 with greeting #2 and so on-

IF the tree is not too involved it can be simpler to just erase the tree alltogether and make a new one making sure to disable the tree befor changeing and enabling after you "save" it.

It sounds like the old tree is enabled but the newer tree is not.

One other thing, i noticed that some of the numbers represent symbols after inputing pauses.
Example
6 = *
5 = #
4 = D
all others 7,8,9 and 0 are invalid values B4 pressing 2. Like to know what they represent...

after looking into it further it appears that every Menu Promts Recording in the meu shows to not be recorded. (is it possible they have been disassociated with the CCR TREE?)

mikepfm - Where do you enable or disable the CCR TREE I dont seem to see that option.

atdjr123 - I don't Understand what you mean?

Also for what it is worth this has happened once before I wound up redoing the entire call tree to get it up and going (and unfortunatley it is a rather complex one.)

JayDH- try this. (I'm guessing you are looking for CCR tree #2 and that ccr tree #1 is the old) [2 is just an example]

To dissable or enable you will need "Table" under AA
you will see Grtg table: and enter 2 and press OK.
you will see AA at menu prompt: Y press OK
next you should see morning: 2 afternoon 2 eve 2 non business 2
keep pressing next until you see CCR tree:(enter the tree #, if you enter a tree number that is no longer there it will say "Incomplete Tree") "disable" OR "enable" at this point you can "change" and press OK. If is says "Enable", it is disabled so press change to "enable".

Next you will see "CCR tree:" enter the tree #
and you should see "Tree enabled".

I hope this is not too criptic but once your in table it should make more sense-- Good luck, Who says Canadian software writers have no sense of humor?

please disregard my post, it was meant for another thread i've been working with. thanks. I was wondering where it went...

Hey JayDH, if you had to rebuild the entire tree b4 you don't recall which tree it was??? I believe there are 4 ccr trees. each tree having a group of 4 greetings you can assign in each table. Your greeting and tree is in there you just have to locate it.
I would from Telset f983/ pswd/ aa/table/1 and ok/aa menu prompt press ok/ then play greetings in that table/ press * to go back to grtg/table/lines and repeat same for tables 2-4 until you locate greeting.
once you locate the greeting press next until ccr tree. if ccr tree is enabled you will see number of tree/ if not input you will see disabled/ to enable tree enter tree number for morning, afternoon, evening and Nbus.....if you are successful press * to go back and check lines to be answered for that table. I hope this helps you.

Just in case you might want to delete the tree and start from
scratch...

To delete a Tree
1 Press F983
Enter the System Administrator Mailbox number and password,
and then press OK.
2 Press OTHR.
3 Press CCR.
4 Press ADMIN.
5 Enter the number of the CCR Tree you want to delete and press OK.
6 Press 8
Delete tree
7 Press YES.
Tree deleted
8 This display appears briefly.
9 Press Rls to end the session.

I tried both of your sugestions but no luck I am just going to delete the tree and recreate it.

However I would like to know how to back it up and restore it so I can if\when it happens again.

In the documentation (that I could find) I see that I need to install "CallpilotBRU.exe" on my computer, but I cannot seem to find where I can get it from.

Also what is the restore process like and could I restore just 1 CCR Tree and not the whole system to that point?

Thank You in advance,
Jay.

The BRU software is on the CP 100/150 Documentation CD that comes with it. You might be able to download from the net, I don't know.

However, you cannot limit the restore process to 1 tree. BRU backs up and restores all programming on the CP.

If you have not deleted the tree yet try looking for the tree as tree 5. I was looking over some documentation in reference to an unsaved tree. It is stored in the workspace as tree 5. To access the workspace f983/pswd/other/ccr/admin/enter 5/chng/then path to chng. If this is your elusive tree once you make the changes/ save it as tree 1 or 2. Then * and go back into AA to enabled tree.
