"I know this is an very old thread, but in our case, Windows 2008 R2 and SQL 2008 R2 with advanced Services, besides AS.NET, ASP also has to be enabled on IIS 7. IIS 6 compatibility is a requirement. Registering the correct ASP.NET from other thread is also a requirement in order to have the page working.
