I am trying to have the CCR handle incoming calls with a menu. The menu works fine, but I still have DN21 ringing prior to the CCR picking up the call. I have the DN set for Appear Only. How do I get DN21 not to ring until they have selected from the proper menu?

Thanks, Jim

If you have the lines being picked up by auto attendant/ CCR why is the line appearing on the phone to begin with? There is always a half ring before the Voicemail picks up but of course that is if you have the line the call is coming in on appearing and ringing at the phone.

If the voicemail is supposed to answer the call why are the lines still on the phones? MRoberts

Dear Mroberts,

Due to the CCR is turned off at given times, I would assume that mapping these lines as "Appear Only" would not generate a ring at DN21 until the CCR has transfered the call to DN21. The business lines for this tenent have their lines appearing only on this set as for selection and to do Qwest forwarding to the answering service prior to leaving, which would require the key button program to choose the main line to forward all lines.

Is their a method of keeping the lines appearing on DN21 and not ringing twice prior to CCR greeting?

Thanks for your quick response,

Jim

The lines shouldn't RING if you have them assigned to Appear only. They will Flash and then go steady as the voicemail picks them up.

In Feature 983, Log in 120000 ok.
Press AA, Table, Lines. Enter your first line number 001. What does it say? It should say line 001 Ans: AA or Y, then press Table, then Rings. In how many rings is the AA set to pick up? Should be 0 unless you have Caller ID then it would need to be set to 2.

Also, are there any other phones in the office with the lines appearing in anyway on them?
