IP500v2 6.0(14)
1608 with 1.3000

There are several hunt groups, but only one has CCR Agents at the moment. These agents have a 1608 with there personal number (extension=700 and user=700). When they serve as agent, the log in with another user (user=800). Every agent is only using his own phone, no real hot-desking.

Base user 700 has a login code set (for later 1XP usage).
Agent has a login code, CCR-Agent and force-login ticked.

This is basically working. But several times a day the agent phones reboot. They say it happens after login, when its ringing or when in a call.

This happens only for the CCR agents! It did never happen for the other agents. And of course, it only started for these agents after we installed CCR.

Any Idea?

Yes same problem here, system running 6.0.18.
Also phones getting locked up when you do logoff (mute LOGOFF #) then change extn number to login on a different user. The phone will freeze. logging off again and back in will free the phone.

anyone who has this, please trace it and get it to Avaya. I have case with them and they are struggling to replicate.

I have seen it on 6.0.14/6.0.18/6.1.x. I suspect it will be the 1.3 16xx firmware.

The info they get, the more chance we have of find the issue. It seems to me to be related to phones logging out to NoUser.

only ALLOW_5410_UPGRADES on our in house 6.1. The 2 sites I've seen this on (6.0.x) have nothing in there.

I might try putting STOP_16XX_REBOOTING_FOR_NO_REASON_AFTER_LOGIN in NoUser.

Might just work!!!!!!

Haven got a trace yet, but it's also there if you have the ha1608uaR1_312b.bin

I've seen this on 1603, 1608 and 1616 phones. didn't seen to happen on 6.0.8. The phones were running 1.22 on that firmware.

Still waiting for Avaya to be able to replicate this. Strange as I got it to reboot within 2 mins of being on site to get traces!!!!

Thanks for confirming that it is a very easy to reproduce issue.

I think it's two different things. Hotdesking and IP-Phone login.
Some days ago, I had a site where just 3 1603 and a PRI was connected. The system was not finished then, obviously. In fact, almost nothing was configured. I had to renumber the extensions. Hence, Mute LOGOFF# and login with the new number. First phone was OK. Second did a reboot after logoff, logged in with the same number again, repeat this and it was OK. The third phone needed this procedure 3 or 4 times!

Hotdesking is the other problem where it restarts. Usually after login.

Question: there is a shortcode to change the login-code. In R6 it has also effect for the user password. I.e. Login with an IP-Phone (password 1234) and user has logincode 1234 to access 1XP. Now change the login-code with this shortcode and log off with Mute LOGOFF#. Login again. It will fail because the code is now used for IP-Login (where the password was used before).

Is it just me or did they screw up password and login-code?

A couple of you are making a mistake!!!

Mute logoff is not used for login of a user!
It is used for login off the phone itself.
A phone is not a user and you should use a logout[b/] button or shortcode!

Mute logoff is only used when you need to change the phone extension and nothing else.

tlpeter, im saying there are 2 problems that might have a relation together. I'm having two issues.

1 hotdesking is not working, the phones reboot after using the login SC.
2 when you roll out new extensions and you need to do an extenion login, it goes ok. But when you entered the wrong extension number and use the mute logoff to enter a different number the extension will hang itself.

Had it on a 6.0.18 system with 1.310 and 1.312 16xx firmware. I'm also having a list of more problems running with tier 4 at the moment but not getting any fast results there. Now they planning on 6.1 and 7.0 but 6.0 never worked as it should be. All kind of problem, and now they're going to ask money for an upgrade.....this will cost them customers.

I just tried it with mute logoff and logoff from the menu and the phone works as it should.
It does not reboot and it does not get stuck (at the moment)

Try to logoff, login on a different extenion see if it locks up and then back to the old extension. This happens on 1608 but only on one of the sites where running 6.0.18.

IP base and user 3200, IP base and user 3128.

log extn 3200 onto 3128 (*35 or menu) and all is good. Log extn 3200 back onto base (*35 or menu), and will reboot. Not every time, but quite alot. It will reboot one or both phones.

6.0.14/6.0.18/6.1.x 16xx 1.3 firmware.

Avaya got this from me last week. seems like you have an update! Last I heard they couldn't replicate.

I'll chase now. Did they say if it was IPO or handset firmware??

I've chased them for an update. Tier III have had it for a week from me. Don't know if anybody else has traced and escalated it.

It's not the firmware of the phones.

The PB includes only a new firmware for the IPO. And it works.
