Hi all,

Installing CCR 7.0.1.31 on a Win2k8 32 bit (no R2) now the "printer discovery service" won't start.

Also in the CCR Diagnostics it says "ListAllPrinters" failed.

Any here had the same problem?

Ok there is an application you have to run to change the permissions on the service

found in this path

Program Files (x86)\Avaya\IPOCCR\CCRWebClient\CCRPrinterDiscoveryService\SBCCResetServicePassword.exe

it updates the config file and some other boring stuff.

rock on Avaya!

ACSS - SME

I have seen it and for me it worked to let the service run as a normal Administrator account instead of in the domain.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Tried it before HSM and tlpeter, but no go.

What does the event viewer tell you?
Like i said, i have seen it once.
Did you add the firewall exceptions?
Can you manually start the printer service?

Firewall is turned off, yes the service is running under services.msc but it gives an error in the event log.
Pointing to "2013 The Printer Discovery Service stopped"

It a Virtual machine, the the printer is a generic file printer from windows.

Did you try to actually use a normal printer?
It sounds like the Windows file printer doesn't work.

Yes that also OFF, trying to reinstall it all under a new user name. One I created myself and not the customer.

Aaaaaahhhhhh a user created by the sys admin :)
Does it have any policy restrictions perhaps?

Did not work eigther, now trying to add a feature called "Internet Printing server" takes a while.

Print spooler is running, tried almost every thing, but no go.

Will try within a few weeks, so to be continued.

Thnx for all the input!

I would first try to print something from the server itself without even thinking of CCR.

When that works then i would go further with CCR.

We have it working, turned out that we need to turn on IPv6.

The message was;

No connectrion could be made because the target machine actively refused it ::1:8140

Thnx for the input!
