I have a new system install today IP500v2 11.1.3. We are migrating from a CM and the PRI protocol was NI1 in the CM, so I set the IPO to 4ESS and most calls are working fine. They are having an issue dialing to some numbers and I see Cause Code 17 - Number Busy in the trace, but they are dialing a cell phone that is onsite that is clearly not busy. Other calls work, but this issue seems to be mostly affecting the local area code.

Is there some tweaking in the PRI settings? Anyone seen this before?

Thank you,

Do I need to set the Provider to AT&T?

Thanks Westi!! I set to 4E as that is what my CM guy said it was set to in the CM. He said NI1-A was 4ESS. It works fine set at 4E. Turns out I didn't have all the info, as the issue was only happening when calling cell phones and not necessarily local calls and call were made from the receptionist that doesn't have a DID. I added their main number as outbound CLID to ARS and this resolved the issue.

I am glad that this worked with the caller ID
I have never used 4ESS but I also have never heard of NI1-A only the regular ones. There are too many options I find and it gets worse it seems.
