I have a customer using Private Wires into a Dealerboard, which we will be replacing with a Nortel Succession PBX. The existing Private Wires can be consolidated and presented as CAS by BT, but I want to know whether the Succession (read Meridian) can support CAS?

CAS to me means Centralized Attendant Service, which was a Nortel Software Feature. What does your CAS acronym mean?

I mean Channel Associated Signalling (CAS) or alternatively Common Channel Signalling (CCS), which refers to the signalling protocol supported over an E1 circuit. This is an old technology and these days has been replaced with DASS, DPNSS and QSIG, but for these Private Wires only CAS and CCS are on offer.

I have read other threads which lead me to believe it may be possible using a DTI interface configured as a TIE circuit, but I wanted confirmation that someone had done this before.

Cheers
