Hey,
sorry if this has already been covered, and i did try and search but nothing came up. so here it is...
I installed IIS on my XP pro and everything worked great, no problems, no hassels no nother. But i wanted to use apache, so i went to apache.org and downloaded the installer and installed it.
heres the problem, i can view my site via localhost it works great, but via my ip address, or my subdmain, it a diffrent sorry, it keeps timing out as if it can not pick it up. now i went to httpd and tried to find the section that allows everyone to view it, still no luck, then i thought maybe its my eyes, so i got the apache admin panel software, and made sure my root dir was so to "allow from: ALL" still nothing.
i also made sure my router allowed port 80 and it is open, also since XP has SP2, i made sure that, that firewall allows it, i added it to the list of safe software, and opened both port 80's (UDP UNP, i think thats what they are)
still NO LUCK!
anyone have any ideas to what i maybe missing?
Thanks in advance.
again, aim using Windows XP Pro w. SP2
