Detector 'BCMDetector' cannot determine the device type for IP address here...

I can get in via BEM 50.17.0.0 but 62.0.3 doesn't want to work.... Yes I've added the IP to java security.

You need to remove 3 MD5 & 2 TLS references in the java.security file, every time you update java.

-Do NOT use Windows Explorer to do this.
-In Windows navigate to your Notepad icon and right click it's icon and select "Run as Administrator" (Win 10 users select More 1st).
-Using notepad select File then Select Open and navigate to Program Files/Java/YourVersion#/lib/security or 64BIT users "Program Files (x86)/Java/YourVersion#/lib/security
-In the far lower right hand side change "txt files" to "all files"
-Open java.security.
-Use the CTL + F command to start FIND
-Search for MD5 (ignore lines with # or Example at the beginning of the line) and remove these two references: MD5 (2 locations) and MD5withRSA (1 location), (Update Sept 2021) as for the line that has MD5with RSA you also need to remove TLSv1, TLSv1.1, as seen here : jdk.tls.disabledAlgorithms=SSLv3, TLSv1, TLSv1.1, RC4, DES, MD5withRSA, Ignore the rest further down the page.
-click file/save file

Did you fix this issue yet?

Already done and verified it was still done.

I also didn't really read this correctly:

I can get in via BEM 50.17.0.0 but 62.0.3 doesn't want to work

What is 50.17.0.0?
All versions are referred in this format: 62.0.3

And what version windows? what BIT?

50.17.0.0 I think is R4, it downloads the R6 module just fine.

Windows 10 64bit, It was working before but stopped for some reason.

I can confirm Win 10 64 with BEM 62.03 does work with BCM450 R6

BCM R4 did not exist, it was never release, only R1, R5, R6, however you are saying the BEM is release 50.17.0.0 :
"I can get in via BEM 50.17.0.0 but 62.0.3 doesn't want to work"

Lets restart...

1. Are you saying you can get in with one version of BEM, but not with the BEM 62.0.3?
2. If so, then what version is the BEM you can connect to the 450 with? in BEM go to Help & About

3. Also what software release is the BCM? - go to Config/System/Identification
Examples of the System Software versions in bold:
Version 8.0.1.00.301 is Rls 1 NTC03100SYE5 Year 2008
Version 9.0.1.30.594 is Rls 5 NTC03100SXE6 Year 2009
Version 10.0.1.02.120 is Rls 6 NTC03100SWE6 Year 2010

So answers needed:
-TLS entries deleted?
-What software version BEM is working
-What software version BCM450

Go here and see what version EM (BEM) is listed?:

"The requested URL /apps/public/ was not found on this server."
However /apps/public/bem_config.xml

shows 62.0.3-bcmsusemfw60ad06

Ok thanks

For future threads you can note that you have BCM450 Rls 6.

That version of BEM 50.17.00 is an oldie, I have in my inventory labeled as BusinessElementMgrInstaller v50.10.0 August 2008 so that would be first version of BEM is my guess, for BCM50/450 Rls 1.

I can provide you with another version, off forums.

Have a star for all the explanations.I already knew all that but this is really useful for people with less knowledge of the Bcm's.
