Can't change AC2 - ESN028

I need to change AC2 from '6' to '8'. I also have to change the CallPilot CDN from 8000 to 6000, but I think I have figured out how I'll be able to do that piece.

When I try to remove ac2 (ld 86, chg, esn, ac2 XX) I get ESN028. If I delete ac2 on element manager it is still there when I do prt esn.

I have quite a few LOC entries built under ac2 (and don't want to delete and rebuild them), is this my problem?

Well you have 2 things fighting each other. You can not change AC2 to 8 until you have removed CDN 8000. This is a dialing conflict between 2 different DN types.

Change it to a 4 digit number and out and rebuild the call pilot cdn and then change it to a 8. Not looking up your error that is what I see right off.

I found the error message in the 4.5 I/O system messages doc.

ESN0028: Network translators, route list blocks, digit manipulation tables, FCAS tables,
or CDP list still exist; cannot remove.

Looks like I can't simply remove ac2, change CallPilot and then make ac2 '8'. Well, that is if I don't want to blow away everything configured under ac2. Am I interpreting this correctly?

I guess I need to change ac2 to something else (ex. 66), move CallPilot to 6000 and then make ac2 '8'. I'm sure it will be as easy as it sounds

You can't remove it , only chg it.

No once it is programmed you can not remove it you must change it.
