Hello Everyone,

Here is a situation:
When calling other party on ip phone the phone rings but when you pickup the phone he/she can hear my voice but I cannot hear the other persons.
This is happening when connecting two locations through dedicated T1 link.
The sites are linked through P2P, there is no VPN tunnel involved or anything else its straight P2P over T1 line.
I'm able to ping the remote location and the remote location is able to ping my site as well. Phones are registering with Signaling server and so on....

I'm lost here...

Any help and advice kindly appreciated

Thanks

It sounds like you have a classic one-way-speech path issue. Unfortunately this can be caused by a number of problems. A quick question? Are both phones IP or is one TDM? Are you using the same codec (G.711/G.729AB) on both the IP phones and the VGMCs? I usually see this problem when two different zones are setup on a Call Server but they have different codecs selected (sometimes one of the codecs is disabled on the Succession Signaling Server - Element Manager).

Assuming there is nothing wrong with your data network you might want to definitely focus on the Succession configuration.

You might also want to check with the Meridian forum as they probably deal with this topic more often than here.

Cheers!

Thanks DaddyOfThree,

I was able to isolate the problem, it was caused by one of the ip routes being incorrect.
