Greetings Folks,

I picked up an SV8100 for my lab and I am having no luck getting PCpro to Connect. I can ping the unit from my laptop after Address change, but no PCPro. Can someone set me on the right path?

Thank You,
Quaz

Have you tried WebPro to see if it works?

Have to make sure the IP and port is the same in PCPro as set in the SV8100. Is WebPro/PCPro turned on in the SV8100? Version number checked, Feature 3?

It should give you an error message in PCPro, if it times out and can't be found, then are you on the same subnet, settings in the SV8100 correct, default? WebPro should give you a web page at minimum. You can program with a handset no problem I assume, so check ALL the related settings, and try webpro.

Chris,

I'm new to SV8100. Does PcPro make programming any simpler; should I get that program working or is WebPro basically the same?
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thank You,
Quaz

They are different in some ways. WebPro will do most. PCPro can work offline of course. Good in the long run to make it happen, good learning. Check the port is correct in PCPro and that is newer than the system firmware. Check if the port is at default in the sv8100. check if PCPro is on in programming, think I saw such an option, don't use it so don't know.

Chris,

Should I use 90-17 or some other program to check system firmware. I defaulted the system before I started this adventure. How do you check ports in PCPro and on the Sv8100. I cannot find anything in the programs concerning ports.

Thanks,
Quaz

If defaulted, then make sure you have default in PCPro

Like I said, feature 3 gives version #

You can download Version 10 of firmware easily and do the update. You would need PCPro 10 to connect as well, it can be downloaded.

Chris,

You mean't feature (the button)3. Duh!

Software version is 6.0 using Feature 3 and PcPro version, under Help, says 6.10 at the top; and below, in configuration information, it reads V7.0H. So software versions should allow a connection. I'm kinda leaning toward where you alluded to PCPro could be turned off in programming. When I initiate PCPro, it take a long time before it times out and gives me an error message, " KSU not responding ". WebPro connects immediately with the same information. It has to be disabled. Do you know the program number for this option. I have not found it yet.

Thanks,
Quaz

Chris,

I looked at system config in WebPro and it said:

Version Information
WebPro 5.90.06
PCPro Server 1.03.0n.pipk
Main Software 06.00
DBMS V8.0H
FPGA 0200
DSP 0000
IPL A/8

As long as PCPro is newer, and you have the correct port and IP, it should work. You might want to get the latest PCPro and firmware, its free.

Chris,

Then therre's no obscure program to disable PCPro?

Quaz

Chris,

Just to update:

I got the latest and greatest in PcPro and firmware and all my problems went away.

Thank you for your help.

Quaz

Thought as much.

Do you have the latest InMail Utility and updates? I need a copy.

Hi All,

I see above that someone managed to download PCPro v10. Can anyone please share where they sourced this from? I need to use the US version of PC Pro v10 in order to get a predictive dialler implementation working for a call centre.

Many thanks!

Hey Quaz, not sure how to PM on here. Missed your post.
